Episode 1: A New Routine (Epilogue) As if nothing happened, the teens were back at breakfast as they were that morning, but knew full well all that had transpired before (or later) that day. Oliver and Katie walked over and joined everyone at the table, as Maya said, “Wow, no one here actually remembers what happened.” “No they don’t,” added Kevin. “Guess that return to the past program really does work.” “And, it’s good to see school got returned to normal too,” said Oliver. “Otherwise, I’d never have this glorious pudding back on my tray again.” Feeling exasperated, Carine replied, “Seriously bro, was that all that was on your mind during that whole thing?” “N… No,” he stammered with guilt. “I mean, I’m just glad everyone’s okay, and there’s no more deadly gas around.” “You’re not the only one,” said Jace observing everything around them. “Who knows what would’ve happened if we didn’t deactivate the tower. “Still though,” he continued, “Whatever does comes our way, as long

Episode 1: A New Routine (Part 4) Oliver and Katie quickly materialized over the rocky terrain, Mr. Belpois informing them that they were in close proximity to Adele’s location. Almost as if on cue, the overboard appeared in front of the Della Robbia boy, and the two quickly took off to join the battle in progress. Meanwhile, the youngest Belpois daughter took refuge behind a rock which the tarantula continued to fire on with guns hot. As she considered her options of escape, the teen was riddled with the fear of being devirtualized before reaching the tower only feet away. What could she do? Her wings couldn’t be activated this close, and the tarantula had dodged her energy daggers every time she fired them. Unless help arrived soon, she was pinned. “Wh… what do I do?” she asked to herself. “With that thing blocking my way, I can’t get to the tower.” Peering around the left side of the rock, she noticed that X.A.N.A. had sent backup with two bloks charging her way from the

Episode 1: A New Routine (Part 3) In the same fashion, Jace and Adele’s wireframes began to materialize over the virtual landscape, with both successfully landing on their feet on the ground below them. As they looked at their surroundings, Jace said, “Boy, it’s definitely good thing Kevin didn’t come with us. This would’ve left him really nervous.” “No doubt,” replied Adele. “I can only imagine if this place was real.” “That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t treat it any less serious kids,” said Adele’s father to the group. “Remember, if you fall in the digital sea below, you’ll be virtualized forever. You’ve got to be very careful.” With a frown on her face, Mrs. Belpois shouted, “Jeremie! Don’t say that. They can’t focus on fighting X.A.N.A. being scared like that.” Mr. Belpois couldn’t even begin to apologize before five suspicious blips appeared on his radar headed towards his wife and the kids. “Heads up everyone, X.A.N.A.’s headed towards you,” he said leaning forward in his

Episode 1: A New Routine (Part 2) The morning hours seemed to go on forever as the kids endured their less enjoyable classes. English class proved a bore as Jace and Oliver began to lull off to sleep, and it took a forceful shove from Yumiko and Adele to wake them up before they got caught by Mr. Malone. Elsewhere, Kevin and Maya were on their way to math class, but both seemed to be highly cautious of their surroundings, carrying the lingering fear that X.A.N.A. could pop up at any turn without they knowing. By the time lunch finally came around, Oliver bolted from Mr. Malone’s class like a caged dog, and ran for the cafeteria as quickly as possible. At this point, he didn’t care if the menu wasn’t as good, he was just anxious to get out of class and get sustenance fast. Almost as if on cue, Katie stood at the door smiling and holding out a container of chocolate pudding, which was his favorite dessert. Smiling just as widely, the blonde teen took his girl in his arms and

Episode 1 - A New Routine (Part 1) “Adele, get ready!” said Jace preparing his attack. “Right!” she replied charging her energy dagger. In one foul swoop, the young girl shot the dagger directly at Jace, cueing him to use his sword to deflect the blast at the Krabe in front of them, shattering it into pieces. As they ran to each other, the young boy held his Princess in his arms and said, “I’m so proud of you. You fought so well.” “You were amazing too,” she replied. Suddenly, without warning, a laser shot came out at them and hit Adele in the back, causing her to lose her breath and disappear from Jace’s arms. “Adele! No!” shouted the boy. In that moment, he quickly turned around to see a hornet floating behind him, and was instantly shot with it’s laser. A loud alarm rang next to Jace’s head as the sun shone through his bedside window, making the young boy spring awake in a cold sweat. Breathing heavily, he looked around and let out a sigh of relief saying, “Phew. It was
