Deep in God's vast landscape,
There shines a light so bright,
It symbolizes peace and tranquility,
As it illuminates the star-filled night sky,
But on this particular night,
It is now a symbol of true love's passion,
The glow creates a spotlight on us,
Intensifying this romantic moment,
Your delicate eyes sparkled in the divine light,
Making my heart soar out of my chest,
Aimed straight towards this beacon of love,
Suddenly, the light seems to intensify,
As your hands find their way around my neck,
I run my fingers gently through your long hair,
Feeling a great waterfall of softness,
Greater than a thousand feathers,
Time now matches the amount of God's love… infinite,
As we stand in this blinding circle,
Is this for real? Is this… meant to be?
Suddenly, this confusion disappears,
As our lips slowly make contact,
A gentle expression of intimacy and passion so strong,
That a new glow begins to shine on us,
One of ecstasy and pleasure,
Burning brighter than the sun itself,
And a flame, we never want to burn out,
Sadly, the passionate glow begins to fade,
As our lungs fill with oxygen,
And we return to the real world,
In the afterglow of the moment,
You rest your head against my chest,
As my arms wrap around you tightly,
But while this temporary flame of passion fades,
One light still remains the same,
It is that familiar and always shining light,
One that, just like God's love… will never fade away,
After writing so many pieces that mention moonlight in them, I felt it was high-time to finally write a piece about how the moon makes the perfect spotlight of love.

So enjoy this special tribute to that bright, romantic orb.
